Oh Lord, purify me, make me a chalice in which you dwell, offer your sacrifice in me and spread your love through me. Let me shine like gold, adorn me with the jewels of virtue that I may always be open to you. Fill me. Overflow me. Let me be like that most perfect vessel, the Singular Vessel of Devotion, She to whom I cry for protection against the Evil One. I ask this for your glory, for the vessel is nothing without the sustenance inside, the cup nothing unless it is filled. Oh Lord, purify me.
The Third Order is, basically, the laity. In the religious life, a religious order has three orders: The first order is priests and brothers, the second is nuns, the third is the laity connected to that order. I am using Third Order in the generic sense because I myself am not connected to any religious order, and most of the laity isn't either. However, we are still called to live a holy life in the world, and that is what I am trying to do. These are merely my reflections.
St. Thomas More
Pray for us, who live in the world as you did, you who prevailed in holiness through the Grace of God in times of persecution.
St. Catherine of Siena
Pray for us, that our love for the Eucharist, Our Lady and our Holy Father in Rome may never falter.
